ABOUT

Ahir Shah is, at the time of writing, an award-winning and good comedian. He began doing comedy occasionally at the age of fifteen (i.e. too young), and over the course of the last decade his status on the circuit has skyrocketed from "curiosity" to "interloper". Shah's sharp, intellectual brand of stand-up features a blend of philosophical inquiry, political vigour, and sweet gags.

Shah's most recent show, MACHINES, was performed to critical and popular acclaim at the 2016 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and is currently touring around the UK. Amid the chaotic tussles of the present, Ahir wants to believe that optimism, ambition and hope will take us to an open, tolerant, liberated future; however, after witnessing the global rise of the far-right and finding himself caught up in the Paris attacks, he’s got a lot of concerns. Fortunately, they’re super funny. MACHINES is a philosophical comedy about what is, was, and might be. It contains an absolutely cracking joke about lizards.
